Madison M: Hey everybody! I'm back!! and this time I'm in Chinaland! Beijing to be exact. Below is a brief description of my adventures in Taiwan. You can also see the blog Saving Siraya for more. I first established contacts in Taiwan in January 2011 while studying abroad, and I was invited to return to Taiwan during the summer to assist teaching English at the Khau-pi Elementary School, volunteer with the Khau-pi Presbyterian Church, and spend my spare hours at the Siraya office. As an American student majoring in International Relations and Chinese, I find Asian culture fascinating and have a strong urge to "be the change [I] want to see in the world." So I now find myself spending the summer among bamboo thickets and mango trees in Khau-pi village.
