Not sure if any of you have heard of the split-bottom pants babies wear in China. Some Americans are under the impression that they are a thing of the past...well I am here to tell you that the trend is still very much alive today. Children "using the facilities" on the street, sidewalk, and in parks is a VERY common site. Actually, a friend of mine was unlucky enough to be walking along the street when a child decided to pop a squat (not needed to remove any clothing due to the conveniently place hole) and, well my friend walked right through the "fountain." In the states it is highly frowned upon (illegal?) to leave dog feces on the sidewalk in cities, but in China you better watch where you are stepping because the little gifts left on the concrete are most often left by children and not puppies.
