This is the White Stupa Temple in Beijing, unfortunately the day we decided to go they had the white stupa surrounded by scaffolding. Nevertheless, the temple was a beautiful and quiet oasis. I simply love visiting temples in Beijing because they seem to be the only places where you can escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. It must be something about the walls surrounding them but its almost impossible to hear the traffic once you pass through the gates!
